You’re not alone in wondering. Let’s clear a few things up.

Whether you’re new to therapy or just new to Renewed Peace, this page answers the most common questions clients have before starting their journey.

Getting Started

Not at all. You don’t need a diagnosis or a “big reason” to begin. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just need support—therapy is for you.

You can book online through our secure client portal, or reach out via phone or email to request an appointment. We’ll guide you from there.

Yes. Some clients come for short-term support around a specific issue, while others stay long-term. We’ll tailor the timeline to your needs.

Virtual Therapy

Yes. Sessions are held via a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. You can attend from the comfort and privacy of your own space.

Just a stable internet connection, a device with a camera and mic (like a phone or laptop), and a quiet, private place where you feel comfortable.

Yes! Many clients find it just as effective—and often more convenient and flexible.

Policies & Boundaries

Yes. Your privacy is a priority. What you share stays between us, with a few legal exceptions (like safety concerns, child or elder abuse, etc.).

The Experience

That’s okay. It’s normal. Therapy is a space to be yourself—even if that means being unsure, quiet, or emotional.

Only if it’s clinically necessary or required for insurance. If you’re paying privately, a diagnosis may not be needed at all.

Tamara uses a blend of:

  • Client-Centered Therapy

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Solution-Focused Therapy

  • Mindfulness-Based Techniques
Sessions are always adapted to your comfort, needs, and goals.
